| In spite of the much-publicised ASBOs that have been handed out recently, there are still a lot of problems in the Ditton area. In some cases, even after years of problems, Halton Borough Council have been repeatedly unable to solve trouble caused by a very small minority of people. After 33 years of Labour Party control, people still haven't got a safe and peaceful place in which to live. EVERYONE has an absolute right to a good quality of life, not just some of the time, or even most of the time, but all of the time. HHT DO have a policy about anti-social behaviour, if you want to know more. | Thanks to everyone who filled-in our survey. Your views do matter BTW Halton Council are now deciding how to change refuse collection and recycling (if you’ve seen the Citizens’ Panel leaflet you’ll get the idea) There’s a good chance that grey bin collection will be every other week, with recycling in between. |
Wondering why there are so many lorries on
Lugsdale Rd? Well Armitt's supply steel to both Jaguar and Vauxhall.
When the car makers are busy, then Armitt's will be too. Unfortunately
they can't control when deliveries come in. Although they have discussed the
problems with HBC, the Council does not seem to see this as a priority.
When we know more you will! The fair in Victoria Square made it impossible to cross at the crossing with a pram or wheelchair. Your Lib Dem Focus Team asked that the fence be moved to allow proper access. |
The delay in restoration of the footpath in Lower Church St has been due to the delays by Scottish Power in making the connections to the street lamps. Now that this has been done you should see the footpath made up (if it hasn’t already been done!) |
